Moonlight Beach via helicopter, Encinitas, CA
I snapped this shot while flying in a helicopter over the North County coastline of San Diego, California! We went up at sunset on my birthday a couple of years ago and it was utterly fascinating seeing our new surroundings from the air. Moonlight is a popular beach in Encinitas and its unique landmark is a lone palm tree right in the middle of the beach! Gorgeous bluffs greet you if you walk towards the left, and beach volleyball courts and tiki huts make this beach a favorite.
